1.The establishment of offices
of the BCAEP program in both sides of the border.2.The networking of
organizations in the areas of addictions medicine and counseling interested in
border issues on addictions between both countries. 3.The creation and
implementation of certificate programs, conferences, workshops, graduate
programs and certification in addiction medicine and in counseling accredited
at a binational level 4.The implementation of the
above programs via certified professionals at a binational level. 5.The creation of a bulletin
with information on binational addictions issues as related to the prevention
of drugs and violence in both sides of the border addressed to the lay public,
mainly to those who commute the border every day
to work , study or visit relatives 6.The publication of articles
on addictions medicine and counseling as related to prevention of drugs and
violence in the border. 7.The creation of a committee to monitor border
issues about addictions and violence to create
strategies to reduce the demand of drugs in the border between the USA and
Mexico. 8.To provide practical
assistance and tips to those cross border citizens who commute every day
between the two countries in order to learn about how to prevent violence and
manage themselves in public sites and avoid getting in trouble with the law.
Also, to prevent the use of drugs and how to better respect the laws of both
countries once they cross the border. 9.The creation of a toll free number to get assistance for those who get in trouble once
they cross the border. 10.Legal representation at a
minimal cost and information on human rights, in the event they get arrested
unfairly. 11.Assistance so that they can
contact their consulate in case they become subject of abuse by legal
authorities
